I’m a jump right in kind of girl. Most of our adventures begin with me shouting out, “I have a great idea!” These ideas usually come in the wee hours of the morning. It was back in 2008 that I had my greatest idea ever. We needed to have a farm!
We farm 17.1 acres on the dike lands of a small community in the Pacific Northwest. Our farm is nestled in a big hug- green hills on the sides and back of us and an open view of the water to our front. Not a day passes that I’m not amazed at the simple beauty surrounding our little farm.
Raising our own food and providing for others is our main focus. Working outside every day, building relationships with our animals and gaining an education in the role nature plays in our lives are all an added bonus.
Livestock that we raise:
Beef cattle Hereford
Dairy cows- Jersey, Milking Shorthorn & Brown Swiss
Laying hens & Meat chickens
Heritage Breed turkeys- Bourbon Red, Spanish Black & Blue Slates
Rabbits, Hair Sheep, and a variety of hogs
Fruits & Vegetables
Since we first moved in we have been establishing a fruit tree orchard. To date we have close to 200 different fruit trees in the ground. Apples, Pears, Plums, Peaches, Cherries, and Almonds.
Raspberries, Blackberries, Blueberries, Strawberries, Rhubarb
And a huge vegetable garden that feeds our families and the families of our CSA members.
Hoping to get where you are!

You can do it, too! Just one step at a time. I’m always happy to encourage others to follow their dreams. Send me a message if you ever have any questions that I might be able to help answer.
